Congratulations to Michael Salerno

Congratulations to Michael Salerno!

Congratulations to Michael Salerno V, a Hudson High School senior named a Leaders 4 Life Fellow by the Asofsky Family Foundation – one of only six in the state. Nominated by Take Stock in Children Pasco County, Michael will receive up to $10,000 a year for four years at Florida State University, where he is interested in studying marine biology. His TSIC Mentor is Brendan Gorman, a TSIC Pasco Alumni.

The TSIC Pasco Foundation Staff, Superintendent Browning, H udson High School Principal Alondra Beatty-Woodall, and Michael’s family surprised him with the news.

More than 100 of Take Stock in Children’s top students from across Florida apply for the Leaders 4 Life fellowship program each year. Following a highly competitive selection and interview process, only six high school seniors are chosen for this prestigious honor that showcases scholars who exceed expectations in academia, commitment, citizenship, and leadership. Becoming a Leaders for Life Fellow represents the culmination of these resources to inspire and develop future leaders in our communities and society.

Historically, this is the Pasco Education Foundation’s Take Stock in Children Program’s second Leaders for Life Fellow. The program’s first Leaders for Life Fellow is Jacquelynn Shelton of Gulf High School (2014).
