Thanks to the generosity of our scholarship donors, the Pasco Education Foundation awarded 119 scholarships to graduating seniors in 18 Pasco County High Schools valued at $235,650.  Unfortunately due to the circumstances this year, our annual Scholarship Awards Banquet was unable to be held in person. In lieu of this ceremony, we welcome you to get to know our recipients through the Scholarship Class of 2020 “Meet the Class” webpage. Stefanie adjusted to life attending three different high schools while trying to maintain her GPA and thus succeeding in her goal of dual enrollment at Pasco-Hernando State College. She proved to herself to never give up and continue to reach for her goals.

She volunteered over 200 hours, mainly as a Junior Camp Counselor at the New Port Richey Recreation and Aquatic Center, and still worked part-time. She also participated on the GHS Track and Field team. Marisa’s career goal is to do something in the medical field, either in nursing or as a Physician’s Assistant.

She is Founder and President of her own non-profit organization “Sallybrating With A Cause”. Sally was also a Tampa Bay Lightning Community Hero of Tomorrow Recipient. Her career goal is to be a veterinarian.

She received 5 Superiors at the District Solo & Ensemble Festival, 1 Superior at the State level, and participated in the Festival of the Winds at USF both her junior and senior years. She was an honors student graduating in the top 10 in her class, with AP and Dual Enrollment courses. Samantha’s career goal is to become a high school band director, followed by a Director of Bands at a University.

Alec’s career goal is to do something in the engineering field dealing with either aircraft or automotive projects.

She was the Vice President of Council for Exceptional Children and a Pasco County Partner of the Year for Special Olympics. Ashley’s career goal is to become an Orthopedic Physician’s Assistant.

He was also the featured speaker at the 2020 Pasco Education Foundation Cinderella Ball. Tyvelle’s career goal is to be an entrepreneur.

Kristen was inducted into the International Thespian Honors Society, served on the Junior State of America’s State Cabinet as Co-Director of Activism, and was on the National Cabinet as Director of Fight Apathy. She also maintained chapter officer positions in both Drama Troupe 4740 (Secretary, Director of Activities and Service) and Junior State of America (Secretary, President), and was awarded the Senior Scholarship from Theatre District 14. Kristen’s career goal is to become a psychiatrist.

She also was chosen as the District and School CTE Student of the Year, was President of FFA, Student Government Executive Board Secretary, Florida State Youth Fair Champion Ambassador, and was on the Dairy Evaluation and Management Team which came in 2nd in the State/3rd in High Individual. Camryn’s career goal is to become an agricultural educator or extension agent.

Kathy’s career goal is to become a biomedical engineer.

She received over 100 hours of volunteer work through tutoring and is a caregiver of a nonverbal autistic sibling. Hang’s career goal is to become an Analytical Chemist.

Shelly is part of the 3-person group that was selected as the winner of Mission 14 – their science experiment will be tested on the International Space Station. As part of this program, she also had the opportunity to speak to an astronaut currently on the ISS. She was also President of HOSA, and is certified in “Stop the Bleed”. Her career goal is to become a nurse.

She also worked two jobs throughout high school. Rachel’s career goal is to become an orthopedic surgeon.

Breanna is a Cambridge program graduate at AHS. Accepted into all four universities she applied, she is also receiving a Take Stock in Children scholarship, Bright Futures top scholarship, and a UF scholarship. Breanna’s career goal is to become a psychiatrist.

Has been a principal trombonist in honors jazz ensemble of the Florida State University Tri-State Jazz Band, as well as the University of South Florida Festival of Winds Jazz Band.
