With its extraordinarily successful program developed to improve the lives of economically disadvantaged, at-risk students by providing scholarships, mentors and enrichment activities, Take Stock in Children prepares Pasco County’s youth for success.
Donor contributions are matched dollar-for-dollar by the State of Florida. That means that everycontribution,no matter the size, will be doubled in value.
For just over $5000.00 you or your organization can provide a deserving 7th grader in your community an opportunity to go to college to pursue their dream.

As a Take Stock in Children sponsor, you…
- Contribute to a local child’s scholarship fund
- Have the opportunity to have naming rights to the scholarship
- Have the opportunity to decide specifics of criteria in addition to those mentioned below
- Have the opportunity to meet the child you sponsor
- Receive updates on your student’s progress
- Have the option to be the child’s mentor
- Know that 100% of your contribution will be used for your child’s scholarship fund & your gift is tax-deductible
- Will directly impact the life of a local child
The child you sponsor will receive…
- Four years of college tuition or post-secondary technical training
- A trained volunteer mentor to providemotivation and support
- Increased sense of self-worth and hope
- The chance to become an educated and productive member of society
In order to receive his/her scholarship the child must…
- Have a financial need
- Maintain satisfactory grades
- Demonstrate good behavior
- Have outstanding school attendance
- Remain crime-free and drug-free
