Mentors
"Often we set out to make a differece in the lives of others only to discover we have made a difference in our own." - Ellie Braun-Haley
YOU have the power!
You have the ability to change a child's future by becoming a mentor. One hour a week of your time can make a lasting impact in the life of a child. By showing a child that someone cares, you will help that student gain the motivation and self-confidence to become a productive citizen.
WHAT IS A MENTOR? (Download description)
- Mentorship in our program is a one-year commitment.
- New mentors must attend training prior to their initial meeting with their student.
- Mentors receive continuous training and support.
- Student/mentor visits are held on school campus during school hours.
- On average, you will experience thirty visits (September-May), about three hours per month.
Please consider this rewarding role of helping to transform the life of a child!
