Matching Grants

The Pasco Education Foundation, Inc., as a member of the Consortium of Florida Education Foundations, was successful in attempts to receive matching dollars for education improvement through the legislature and Governor’s office.

With the leadership of State Representative Gus Bilirakis and Senator Mike Fasano, the Pasco Education Foundation realized over $61,000 in matching dollars during the 2006-2007 school year.

Private contributors want to know that they are making a difference. Matching dollars legislation and funding this year provided businesses and individuals the opportunity to double their contribution for improving student success. In all, $61,000 in corporate contributions received for improving student performance was transformed into $122,000.
